Biography
Jarrod Koskoski is the Director of Instrumental Music at University High School in Orange City, Florida. Jarrod received his Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Central Florida in 2001 and is in his 25th year of teaching. Prior to teaching at University High School, Mr. Koskoski was the Instrumental Music Director Mulberry High School for 3 years and at Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, FL for 6 years. He has served as the Florida Orchestra Association District 6 Chair, as the Volusia All-County Orchestra Chair and the All-County Band Chair, and as the President of the Volusia County Organization of Music Educators. His groups have received high accolades at both district and state music performance assessments including the prestigious Otto Kraushaar Award. The University High School Titan Regiment has also been named Best Band and Fan Favorite by the News Journal in 2023 and 2025. His groups have performed both nationally and internationally, including performances in Annapolis, New Orleans, Chicago and London. Mr. Koskoski has taught band and orchestra for 25 years which includes time in Florida and Ohio. While living in Ohio, in addition to being a band and orchestra director, he served as a volunteer firefighter in Elmore, Ohio for 7 years and served as the conductor of the Fostoria Community Band for 7 years. He has served as the Florida Orchestra Association 9-12 Honors Orchestra Chair and as the Florida Bandmasters Association District 12 Public Relations Chair. He has been a guest conductor for the Flagler County All County High School Band and as the Orange County All County Middle School Orchestra. His professional memberships include the Nation Band Association, National Association for Music Education, Florida Music Education Association, Florida Bandmasters Association and the Florida Orchestra Association. Most recently, the Jazz Band at University High School performed at the prestigious Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts and the University High School Titan Regiment will be traveling to London, England in December 2026 for their 2nd invitation to perform in the London Parade on New Years Day. Jarrod lives in DeLand with his wife Dominica and 2 wonderful daughters.
